WELCOME!

It is hard to believe that it was only seven years ago I witnessed a CNC router in action for the very first time. I was fascinated and simply had to have one! Although I had been in the creative end of the three dimensional sign business for most of my life I didn't really know what I would do with one - but I just knew it could do fantastic stuff.

Through extensive research I quickly found out that with the relative simplicity of EnRoute, CNC routers were capable of just about anything imaginable. This journal will chronicle that journey to date and continue each week with two or three entries as we continue to explore just what is possible with this wonderful software... -dan

Sign Magic Workshops may hit the road.

Our Sign Magic Workshops have proven to be very popular.  We've been honored to have guests travel from around the world to attend. It has been amazing! Our next Sign Magic Workshop is scheduled for September 30 - October 2, 2011. Interest in that workshop is amazing with quite a few already signed up.

Attending one of our Sign Magic Workshops is a pretty major undertaking. There is the traveling of course along with the hotel, and renting a car as well. Just as costly is the time booked away from the shop for each attendee. We appreciate the effort and expense our guests commit to and do our best to provide excellent value in return.

The workshops we hold here in our shop would be impossible to duplicate elsewhere. As much as we teach and share, our shop/studio and the endless amount of eye candy inside and out plays a major role in the experience. To come here is to understand what I am all about. It is on display for all to plainly see.

Just the same, we have been getting many requests to bring our workshop to other locales. Not everyone is able or willing to travel great distances. Discussions about taking the workshops on the road are proceeding. Like the workshops here, they would be presented with the cooperation, involvement and participation of EnRoute, MultiCam, Precision Board and others.  We would of course have lectures and presentations as well as hands-on projects. Although we could not do everything we do here in our shop, much of the same material would be covered. The workshops would be three days, with the sessions going long hours as we do in our shop.

We are considering many locations, including Texas, Florida, the eastern seaboard of the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Russia, South America and Australia - not necessarily in that order and not all will happen. At present it is all talk, with no decisions yet made for certain. It depends to a large degree on where the interest happens and what feedback we receive.

If this is something you may be interested in attending in your area, please let me know.
